We want this website to work for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboards or other assistive technology.
Our goal
We serve children and families with many different needs, including kids with autism. Our website should be just as easy to use. We aim for it to meet the WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines.
What we have done
- Clear page structure with headings and landmarks, and a "skip to content" link.
- Menus and forms you can use with a keyboard.
- Text descriptions on meaningful images.
- Colors chosen for readable contrast.
- Animations turn off when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Form fields with labels.
Known gaps
Some PDF documents may not be fully readable by screen readers yet. We are working on it.
